EMDR Intensives
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) intensives are designed to help individuals process traumatic events in a condensed, immersive format. Unlike traditional weekly therapy sessions, EMDR intensives involve extended therapy sessions over a shorter period—often lasting three to four hours per day across a few days or weeks depending on the case. This approach allows for deep, focused work on traumatic memories, reducing the impact of past events on an individual’s current emotional state.

EMDR intensives are particularly beneficial for those seeking rapid relief from distressing symptoms related to recent traumatic events, PTSD, anxiety, or unresolved emotional pain. By using bilateral stimulation (eye movements, taps, or sounds) to process traumatic memories, clients can desensitize and reprocess these experiences in a safe, supportive environment. The goal is to help the brain integrate traumatic memories in a way that reduces their emotional charge and frees the individual from negative beliefs and behaviors linked to the trauma.

This intensive format is ideal for clients who experienced a traumatic event and want to make significant progress in a short period or those who prefer to address specific trauma without the extended commitment of traditional therapy.
EMDR intensives are often tailored to each individual’s needs, offering a personalized approach that may include a combination of preparatory work, increasing internal resourcing and coping strategies, trauma processing, and post-intensive support to ensure long-lasting healing.
